Clatsop County Gymnasts shine at nationals

Local gymnasts from Infinity Kids Sports and Learning Center in Seaside traveled to Hilton Head, South Carolina to take part in the recent National Xcel Champions Meet last weekend. The three-day event ran from May 29 – 31 and featured four of the Infinity gymnasts: Summer Burns, Harper Murray, Karlie Kujala and Antoinette Hill all competed in the South Carolina meet.

Burns competed in the gold division and placed first on vault with a score of 9.2. Murray competed in the platinum division where she placed second on vault, fourth on balance beam and sixth in the all-around competition. Murray finished with a score of 9.2 on vault, 9.350 on beam and 36.10 in the all-around. Kujala and Hill both competed in the all-around category where they received personal best scores. Kujala finished seventh with a score of 36.00 and Hill scored a 34.325 in the gold divisions all-around competition.

Coach Amber Hill was proud of her team. “Your hard work, commitment and love for the sport continue to inspire us,” Hill wrote in a social media post. “We are so proud of each of you and honored to have you represent Infinity Gymnastics on the national stage.”
