Winton Woods graduate Chance Gray taken in 2nd round of WNBA draft

Chance Gray, a former Lakota West player and Winton Woods graduate, was selected in the second round of the WNBA draft on April 13.

The Los Angeles Sparks picked the senior guard as the No. 24 overall pick. She started 35 games for Ohio State University this season, averaging 14.7 points a game for the Buckeyes.

The 2022 Winton Woods graduate spent two seasons at Ohio State after playing at Oregon for her freshman and sophomore campaigns.

Gray became the 21st Buckeye to be taken in the WNBA draft. The Sparks drafted South Carolina's Ta'Niya Latson with the No. 20 pick and Kentucky's Amelia Hassett with the No. 35 selection. The Sparks went 21-23 in 2025, failing to qualify for the postseason.
