In a recent tweet, USC Reporter Ryan Dyrud, in his analysis of Lake McRee's performance at the combine, feels like McRee can be a sleeper in this year's draft. Here are his thoughts in his tweet:

"I’ve always said Lake McRee doesn’t jump off the page and wow, but he just does everything so well. Gonna be a very solid Pro."

Lake McRee does not take up much attention, and he did not last season in the Trojans offense. The Trojans 'receivers were the highlight of the offense. McRee's impact still did not go unnoticed as he was one of the Trojans' most underrated players. Last season, McRee put up 450 yards receiving and had 4 touchdowns. There was many times when he really bailed out Maivai, and he was just as reliable as the top receivers on the Trojans.

McRee can block. He has no problem doing the dirty work, he can catch, and he is efficient in space after the catch. He may not be a Colston Loveland or a Trey McBride, but he will be a serviceable tight end that will be around for quite some time.

With his skill set, there will definitely be a team that will take a chance on him, and he is versatile enough to fit in just about every offense. With a great combine performance, McRee is on his way to being one of the biggest sleepers from this draft class.
