Broncos could address unexpected position in 2026

The Denver Broncos' list of team needs ahead of NFL free agency includes running back, linebacker and tight end — three positions that are easy to identify as key needs.

Another position group has flown a bit under-the-radar, but not for general manager George Paton and coach Sean Payton. During their press conferences at the NFL combine last week, Paton and Payton both mentioned the offensive line as a unit that could see new additions this offseason.
When asked about team needs, Payton said, in part: "You want to make sure you’re looking closely at your offensive line."
Garett Bolles, Ben Powers, Luke Wattenberg, Quinn Meinerz and Mike McGlinchey are all under contract for the 2026 season, but the Broncos could shake things up in 2026. At the very least, Denver will add depth and competition.
"I think you always have to feed the offensive lines and defensive lines to sustain success in this league," Paton said. "We’ll continue to do that, regardless of how good our offensive line is.”
So, add offensive line to Denver's list of needs ahead of free agency and the draft.
