The video follows James down a hallway of the arena until he sees Daniels. The two exchange a hug before Daniels requests to take photos of LeBron with his friend. James acquiesces to the request, telling Daniels to take the photos with whoever has the better phone, and his friend suggests that Daniels snap 20 photos of the two together.
The 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year was in attendance at the Lakers and Celtics game that night. He watched LeBron record 20 points, four rebounds, five assists, one block, and two steals in the 111-89 loss. He likely grew up watching LeBron James play basketball for Cleveland, Miami, and now Los Angeles. And now they're stars.
What is most interesting about this video, though, is not that LeBron James greeted Jayden Daniels and a friend after the game; the most interesting thing is how Daniels looks like a child standing next to James. Daniels isn't a small guy; he's 6-foot-4 and weighs 210 pounds. He's the perfect size for an NFL quarterback. James, on the other hand, is 6-foot-9 and weighs 250 pounds, and while it doesn't seem like a huge difference on paper, the visual is astounding.
Daniels missed 10 games in the 2025 season due to various injuries, but is expected to be back on the field this spring.
