Despite Scottie Scheffler celebrating his 30th birthday for the final round of the U.S. Open, the four-time major winner may not get the birthday victory he wished for. Scheffler entered the final round at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club six shots back of the leader Wyndham Clark.

However, despite the suboptimal chances Scheffler has of winning his fifth major, the gallery in Southampton, New York still made sure to celebrate accordingly. Fans in attendance sang 'Happy Birthday' to the world's top-rated golfer as he approached the first tee.

Or perhaps it threw him off his groove. After all, he did bogey the first hole.

How has Scheffler performed at the U.S. Open?

Despite entering the final round of the tournament six shots out of first place, Scheffler is actually playing very well, entering Sunday in a tie for second place at 1-under par.

Other birthdays on the PGA Tour

Scheffler isn't the only golfer celebrating a birthday today. Tom Kim, who is also enjoying a solid performance at the U.S. Open, celebrates his 24th birthday today as well.
