Both ended up over the outfield wall.
The first, an 85 mph changeup that Harris sent 421 feet to deep right center field. The second, an 81 mph breaking ball that Harris sent 104 mph off his bat and deep into the right-field bleachers.
Harris’ two-homer night propelled Oklahoma over No. 3 Georgia 11-4 Wednesday night at Charles Schwab Field and into the NCAA baseballCollege World Series championship series. It was Harris’ best game of his collegiate career as he also finished with a career-high five RBIs.

“Really proud of what Dasan has done,” OU coach Skip Johnson said. “He came into our program, just with an opportunity. It's crazy, but he never wavered, never complained. He just kept at it and kept at it, kept listening to the coaches and got better and better as he went through it. It's awesome.”
Harris, who leads the Sooners with his .359 batting average, entered the NCAA Tournament with only three home runs. He didn’t hit his first of the season until April 17 against Missouri.
His story is inspiring.
Harris committed to OU as a walk-on out of Plano East High School in Texas despite being nationally ranked and holding multiple Division I offers. He only played in six games as a freshman in 2024 before starting 28 games last season and finally finding himself part of the everyday lineup this season.
He’s hitting .365 with three home runs and 16 RBIs during the postseason alone.
“It means everything,” Harris said. “I thank my coaches and my teammates for always believing in me. I've dreamed of this moment since I was a little kid, and coming here was part of that and being able to be put in those spots.”
The Sooners have hit 43 home runs in the last 16 games, nearly half of their total of 91 this season. OU has hit 26 home runs in 10 NCAA Tournament games
If Harris’ bat stays hot, the sky is the limit for this lineup.
Players like Harris symbolize this Sooners team’s makeup. “Everybody is important in this room,” Johnson told his group in the locker room postgame.
Even the unlikeliest heroes can shine on the biggest stage in college baseball.
“He means everything,” catcher Deiten Lachance said. “Ever since this guy came into the lineup late in the season, you know what you’re going to get with him. He’s going to grind every at-bat out, he’s going to give everything to the team and you can’t ask for anything else from this guy.”
