Knicks fans set a record for purchasing the most championship merchandise from Fanatics across all sports within 24 hours after their clinching victory, according to stats from the NBA.

Gear from the 2026 NBA Finals broke the 2020 NBA Finals record for most sales from NBAStore.com, Fanatics, team stores and third-party retail during the games.

Merchandise can still be purchased through the NBA store website or other gear at third-party sites.

NBA Finals most watched in decades

The Knicks and Spurs games also set a record for the most watched NBA Finals since 1998. The championship series averaged 20.6 million viewers on ABC and ESPN. Game 5, when the Knicks secured the championship, led the way with 24.5 million viewers and peaked at 33 million viewers, the most watched finals game since 1998.

The NBA also said the Finals brought the most social media engagement for the league with 15 billion views and counting on across different platforms.
