Any soccer fans out there? Lamar Jackson said he was going to “look into” the World Cup, so we figured we’d give Ravens fans a place to talk about the U.S. Men’s National Team’s debut against Paraguay!

“I really haven’t followed soccer this season, but I’m going to try,” Jackson said on Wednesday, adding that he was excited for the World Cup, which is being co-hosted by the U.S. along with Mexico and Canada.

The United States is thought to be the best team in Group D, sitting 17th in FIFA’s current rankings, followed by Turkey (23rd), Australia (27th), and tonight’s opponent, Paraguay (40th). But the USMNT is just 1-3-0 on the year with just six goals in their four matches. That will not play during the World Cup against the best of the best.

Tune into the match and join the discussion here on Baltimore Beatdown! Are you rooting for the United States during the World Cup, or does another country have your support? How far do you think America can go in this year’s tournament? Let us know in the comments below!
