Arizona Cardinals potentially lose rookie for entire 2026 season

The Arizona Cardinals have lost one of their draft picks for a significant time with a knee injury. Defensive lineman Kaleb Proctor, the Cardinals' fourth-round pick in this year's draft, suffered a torn meniscus in offseason work and will miss a lot of time, said head coach Mike LaFleur on Wednesday.

It was the only significant injury that came out of the offseason program.

"That's the one that sucks," he said. "We had some bumps and bruises, I guess you could say, but everyone's leaving healthy.

Proctor will "miss a quite a bit of time," and LaFleur even said it is possible for him to miss "the whole year."

Proctor was a promising Day 3 pick out of Southeastern Louisiana. He is one of the Cardinals' two unsigned draft picks.

His injury will make projecting the defensive linemen on the final roster a little easier to predict.
