FAYETTEVILLE — An outfield transfer from an in-state program will make the move northwest and join Arkansas baseball.

Allen joins Arkansas with one year of eligibility remaining. He's a left-handed bat who can play any of the three outfield spots. The Hogs could lose all three of their outfield starters from the 2026 season if Damian Ruiz signs as an MLB Draft pick next month.

Allen hit .309 with 17 home runs and 53 RBIs in 2026. He posted an OPS of 1.006 with 23 walks and 45 strikeouts in 204 at-bats. Across his career, Allen is slashing .306/.421/.537.

The former Bear will also provide speed and experience for Arkansas. He's averaged 15 stolen bases per season and brings 162 starts with him to Fayetteville.

The Razorbacks could lose all three of their outfield starters from the 2026 season if Damian Ruiz signs as an MLB Draft pick next month. Carter Rutenbar and Christian Turner both earned playing time as freshmen, while Brenton Clark missed the season with an injury. Those three returnees figure to compete with Allen and anymore additions for the three starting roles.

Allen is the first hitter to commit to Arkansas out of the transfer portal. The Hogs have added new pitchers this offseason, with two coming from the junior college ranks.
