- The big news in college football is Texas Tech QB Brendan Soresby being ruled eligible to play by a Texas judge. Christian Caple examines the story, noting that if the NCAA can’t enforce one of sport’s most sacred rules – don’t gamble on your sport – what can it enforce?
- Some schools are not happy with the ruling, and are instructing teams not to even schedule games of any sport agains Tech:
Athletic officials from Nebraska and Georgia sent department-wide memos today instructing their coaches and sport deputies not to schedule Texas Tech. If games are already scheduled, the schools may work to cancel the matchups.
