Mercyhurst Prep (22-2) moves on to the PIAA championship for the first time in program history on June 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Penn State University.

Mercyhurst Prep and Neshannock struggled to get a clutch hit as both pitching staffs were dominating throughout the game. Krahe finished with seven strikeouts and one walk in a complete-game effort. He finished the game with 100 pitches and won't be eligible to pitch in the state final because of PIAA pitch count rules.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Spencer broke through for the Lakers by blasting an 0-1 pitch over the left-field wall to send the dugout into a frenzy. Krahe took care of the rest in the seventh inning.
