The Cavaliers run-ruled three-seed Washington, 11-0, for Jefferson’s second-consecutive state title. SDSU commit Macy Bryant and Brooklyn Herrara’s back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the fifth inning ended the game

“It’s about training, it’s about working hard,” head coach Ed Whiting said. “Showing up to practice ready to go, moving on. The team motto is next play and they find a way that we’re going to kick some balls and if we do and the ball is still in play lets just go find outs.”

The Cavaliers finish the season with a perfect 23-0 record.
