The competition started Thursday, June 4 and will crown a champion on Sunday, June 7 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, outside of Columbus. There have been thunderstorms in the area, which have caused two suspensions of play already and cut the third round short.
At the end of the day on Saturday, Americans J.T. Poston and Ryan Gerard were tied for first place with a score of -9.
There's already been some excitement at the event, including Jordan Spieth's 62-foot roundabout putt for a birdie in the first round.
The Memorial Tournament, which was established by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, boasts one of the larger purses on the PGA Tour. It is a Signature Event, meaning there is a smaller, more exclusive pool of players and an increased prize of both money and FedEx Cup points.
Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm are among the previous winners. Scottie Scheffler is the most recent champion and has won the tournament two years in a row.
