Jacksonville Jaguars: Sign Experienced Corner with 31 Regular-Season Starts
· Yahoo Sports
The Jacksonville Jaguars still needed to address their cornerback depth this offseason after losing Greg Newsome II to the New York Giants and failing to select one in the 2026 NFL Draft. Travis Hunter is recovering from a season-ending LCL tear and has been limited to individual drills off to the side during OTAs but is expected to be a full-go for training camp. Meanwhile, the Jaguars’ corner depth took a slight hit after Keith Taylor was placed on injured reserve with a pectoral tear sustained while lifting weights.

Mandatory Credit: Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY SportsThe Carolina Panthers signed Dane Jackson to a two-year, $8.5 million contract during the 2024 offseason. He had a disappointing lone season at Carolina, missing the first six games with a hamstring injury and later failing to carve out a rotational role on defense. Jackson recorded 23 tackles and two pass deflections across nine games, three starts, while totaling 280 snaps before the Panthers released him last offseason.
The Buffalo Bills signed Dane Jackson to a one-year deal worth the league minimum last offseason. He did not survive roster cuts and spent most of the 2025 season on the practice squad, but the team promoted him to the active roster for the playoffs. Jackson recorded three tackles across three regular-season games and snaps, along with one tackle in the playoffs.
