A former Carolina Panthers defender had trouble defending himself yet again.
Pass rusher-turned-professional fighter Greg Hardy faced off against Darko Stosic in the co-main event of a Fight Nation Championship on Saturday. And despite going into the matchup with a 52-pound weight advantage over his opponent, Hardy was the one who ended up on the bitter side of the bout.

Hardy hit the scale on Friday at approximately 291 pounds, 25 pounds over the limit for a non-title heavyweight fight. He was taken out midway through the third round by a 239-pound Stosic, who claimed victory in his home country of Serbia.
Prior to entering combat sports, Hardy played five of his six NFL seasons with the Panthers. His last campaign came in 2015, as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.
The 37-year-old Hardy has now suffered knockout losses in four of his last five mixed martial arts fights dating back to 2020.
