The Washington State Cougars, along with the rest of the Pac-12, released their game times and television networks for the 2026 football season. On top of this release, it was also announced that the Apple Cup in week one has been moved to Sunday, September 6th, from its previous set date of September 5th.

Cougar fans can rejoice in the fact that they don’t have to wait till a week prior to the game to know what time they play for all but one game. The only game without a time designation is the final week of the regular season, the “flex” game that is currently projected to be Oregon State. Fans will also love seeing the very popular 3pm kickoff for multiple games.

WSU will open the season with that previously mentioned now-Sunday game at Washington at 1 p.m. on NBC and Peacock.

The week five game against Utah State was also officially set for Friday, October 9th.

For those who didn’t love the Pac-12 After Dark, great news; WSU will kickoff past 6 p.m. at maximum four times this regular season. The first will be the Family Weekend game against Fresno State in week four, the following week at Utah State and week 10 when they host Colorado State.

The earliest they will play is 9 a.m. Pacific Time when they travel to Kansas State in week two. That game will also be broadcast nationally on TNT and HBO Max. Their other nationally televised game will be against Arizona in week four at 4:30 p.m. on CBS.

Between the new Pac-12 television affiliates, WSU will appear on USA Network five times, CBS Sports Network twice and The CW once.

This might be one of the most fan-friendly schedules we have seen in a long time. First, having kickoff times nearly fully announced is a huge win for fans who want to plan their trips well-ahead of time. While late kickoffs can be fun and give a primetime feel, boy do those games run late. For the more local fans, only having two games at home that will be late kickoffs is much more doable.

The two biggest games on the home schedule for WSU this year are Arizona and Boise State. The time for those two games? 4:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Could not ask for much better.

The full schedule with the dates, game times and networks can be found on the WSU website.
