As Longhorns football continues to build for the future, they have been busy with the 2028 class. In just a few days, Steve Sarkisian will get to see one of his targets, Ty McCurry, in person. The three-star recruit is set to be on campus for a visit on Sunday and will have the chance to work with some of the coaching staff.

Currently, the Southlake Carroll High star is ranked as the 39th offensive tackle in his class by 247Sports. They also rank McCurry as the 66th-best player from Texas. While he has already formed a good relationship with the Longhorns, they are not the only program that would like to add him to their future plans.

During the recruiting process, McCurry has received offers from Arizona State, Auburn, Arkansas, Baylor, Boston College, Florida, Ole Miss, Purdue, Texas A&M, USC, and Tulsa. With no commitment date set, that list could continue to grow the longer that McCurry is on the market. The goal for the Longhorns when he is on campus is to make him an offer he can't refuse.

Although Texas is still looking for its first commit from the 2028 class, Sarkisian has been busy connecting with some of the top players still weighing their options. The Longhorns have made offers to various four-star recruits, including James Foster, Neimann Lawrence, Ian Thomas, Brysen Wright, Tytan McNeal, and Austin Attalah. Any of those players would represent a significant upgrade.

While McCurry's trip to campus is a welcome sign, he is not the only player Texas will host over the next month. They will also welcome prospects such as Ty Winn, John Meredith, and Montre Jackson to campus. Regardless of what happens over the next few weeks, McCurry has made it clear that he sees a future at Texas as a real possibility.
