From 2008 to 2020, games between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons became must-watch events because of Drew Brees and Matt Ryan. This has become the NFL’s biggest modern rivalry. The battles between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills are always exciting because Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen constantly produce huge moments.

This rivalry was unique because both quarterbacks played for the same team. Joe Montana had already become a legend with four Super Bowl titles, three Super Bowl MVP awards, and 40,551 passing yards before Steve Young arrived in San Francisco.

Tom Brady versus Peyton Manning remains the greatest quarterback rivalry in NFL history. Their battles defined football during the 2000s and early 2010s.

The rivalry began on September 30, 2001, and ended during the 2015 AFC Championship Game. They faced each other 17 times in total. Brady finished with an 11-6 overall record against Manning, while Manning held a 3-2 advantage in playoff games.

Brady built the greatest resume the NFL has ever seen with 89,214 passing yards, 649 touchdowns, and seven Super Bowl titles. Manning answered with 71,940 passing yards, 539 touchdowns, and five MVP awards.
