Conor McGregor will make his return to the Octagon after a five-year hiatus when he meets former UFC featherweight and BMF champion Max Holloway in a rematch at UFC 329 on July 11 from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

After many rumors over the past few weeks, UFC CEO Dana White officially confirmed McGregor’s return date Saturday night cageside at UFC Vegas 117. Seems like White didn’t mind spoiling “Rousey vs. Carano” after all.

Check it out below:

McGregor, who last fought Dustin Poirier in a trilogy fight at UFC 264 back in July 2021, has been aiming for a UFC return for quite some time. The former UFC double champ was scheduled to meet Michael Chandler at UFC 303 back in 2024, but a toe injury bounced “Notorious” from his comeback. McGregor and the promotion haven’t been able to come to terms on another fight ever since, but that all changed over the past month when Holloway’s name was brought to the table.

Holloway, who is coming off a lackluster loss to Charles Oliveira back at UFC 326, is one of the most exciting fighters on the UFC roster today. He’s a perfect fighter to welcome McGregor back to the mix, especially considering McGregor holds a win over “Blessed” dating back to a featherweight meeting in 2013. Holloway has always wanted another crack at McGregor to avenge his loss and also get the biggest payday of his career.

Now that McGregor’s return fight is official let us know how things will go for “Notorious” when he steps back inside of the cage with Holloway!
