Hailey Van Lith’s pregame outfit for first Sun game is a must-see

· Yahoo Sports

Hailey Van Lith made her debut for the Connecticut Sun on Friday as the WNBA opened the new season with a three-game slate.

Van Lith played her first game in a Sun uniform after signing a contract with the team on Wednesday. This is after the Chicago Sky decided to waive the 5-foot-9 guard right before the new season started. Connecticut acted quickly, claiming the 11th overall pick of the 2025 WNBA Draft off the waivers.

Van Lith arrived at Barclays Center in style on Friday for Connecticut’s road game against New York. The Sun took to social media to post a photo of the 24-year-old’s eye-catching pregame outfit.

“City drip with HVL💧” the team posted on X.

Van Lith went with a sporty streetwear look for her Sun debut. The structured, fashion-forward outfit was on-brand for the former TCU star, who never fails to draw attention with her fashion statements.

Van Lith wore a royal blue Adidas jacket over a light blue corset-style bustier top. The sweetheart neckline contrasted nicely with the striped necktie that added a masculine touch.

Van Lith went with ultra-baggy pants that gathered at the ankles. She elevated her look with white pointed heels, which gave the casual ensemble a runway-like upgrade. The Sun guard finished off her outfit with a small brown handbag and her trademark braided blonde hair.

Hailey Van Lith shines in Sun blowout loss

Van Lith came off the bench in her first game for Connecticut. She logged nine points on 4-of-7 shooting, to go along with one rebound, four assists, a steal and one triple in just 14 minutes of action.

The Sun, however, suffered a blowout loss on opening night. They had no answer for Breanna Stwerart (31 points, 10 rebounds), who led the Liberty to a dominant 106-75 win.

Van Lith and the Sun return to action on Sunday in a home matchup against the Seattle Storm.
