Joel Embiid had 34 points in Game 7 against Boston on Saturday, Tyrese Maxey took over late, and Philadelphia completed one of the wilder first-round upsets in recent memory, a 109-100 win that flipped a 3-1 series deficit.

The reward is a second-round date with the New York Knicks. And Embiid, before anyone had time to celebrate, already had a message ready.
It was not for the Knicks
Embiid went directly at 76ers fans, urging them not to sell their playoff tickets to New York supporters ahead of Games 3 and 4 in Philadelphia.
“I just have a message for our fans. Last time we played the Knicks, it felt like [Xfinity Mobile Arena] was Madison Square Garden East. So, we’re going to need the support. Don’t sell your tickets. This is bigger than you. We need you guys. The atmosphere that we’ve had the last couple games in Philly, especially the last one, pushing it to Game 7. We need all of it… Knicks fans they travel. They’re going to buy the tickets, and there are going to be some people that need the money and are probably going to sell tickets. But don’t do it. We need you guys. We got a pretty good chance. We’re going to need our support. We’re going to need them to be extremely loud. If you need money, I got you," Embiid said.
The Knicks hold home-court advantage in this series, so Philadelphia's crowd at Xfinity Mobile Arena during home games could matter more than usual. A split on the road and two genuine home wins changes the look of this series entirely.
Embiid is aware of that math, so he is asking fans to understand what showing up actually means this time around.
