The Republic's Super 10 softball teams
1. Queen Creek Bulldogs, 22-1
The 3-2 loss to Red Mountain might be much needed to reset for the stretch run as they try to make a run at the 6A title.
2. Xavier Prep Gators, 19-4
Sydney Root has been on a tear at the plate, hitting three home runs in a row, including two grand slams, during one recent stretch.
3. Red Mountain Lions, 18-5
They've made a big climb into the rankings after giving Queen Creek its first loss of the season.
4. Desert Vista Thunder, 19-3
They have a big week with games against Hamilton and Corona del Sol on tap.
5. Desert Mountain Wolves, 17-2-1
It's looking like another 5A final showdown between the Wolves and Canyon del Oro.
6. Canyon del Oro Dorados, 21-3
Freshman phenom Savanna Mares has been brilliant in the circle.
7. Marana Tigers, 23-2
They might be the state's biggest surprise.
8. Basha Bears, 14-5-2
They've shown they can beat anybody.
9. Salpointe Catholic Lancers, 18-4
Tucson prides itself on playing great softball, and Salpointe has been one of the most dominant teams coming from the south.
10. Mica Mountain Thunderbolts, 20-2
Another great Tucson team that is ready to shock the state in May.
