The Boston Bruins aren't the only Beantown team in clinching position on Thursday night.

The Boston Celtics would secure the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference for the upcoming NBA playoffs if they beat the New York Knicks on the road Thursday.

The Celtics released an updated injury report Thursday afternoon, ruling out Eastern Conference Player of the Week Jaylen Brown for the contest, while changing forward Sam Hauser's status to "available."

Fellow starters Derrick White and Neemias Queta, meanwhile, are still listed as questionable.

"Injury Report Update: Jaylen Brown - Left Achilles Tendinitis - OUT Sam Hauser - AVAILABLE Neemias Queta - Right Toe Sprain - QUESTIONABLE Derrick White - Right Knee Contusion - QUESTIONABLE," the team's official account posted on X.

Jayson Tatum was the only Celtics starter not listed on the injury report.

Tatum will be making his return to Madison Square Garden for the first time since suffering a torn Achilles last May in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
