In-state offensive lineman Nate Brenneman commits to Iowa football

IOWA CITY — In-state offensive lineman Nate Brenneman has committed to Iowa football, he announced April 5.

Brenneman is 3-star prospect and the 7th ranked recruit in the state of Iowa’s 2027 high school class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Brenneman is listed at 6-foot-6 and 255 pounds, according to his social media. He also reported himself to squat 505 pounds and run a 4.85 40-yard dash.

Brenneman played on both sides of the ball for Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley as a junior last season. Brenneman recorded a team-high 43 pancakes. Defensively, he tallied 30.5 tackles and five sacks.

Brenneman's offer list included from Duke, Kansas State, Minnesota, Maryland, Kansas and Iowa.

Brenneman becomes the sixth commitment in Iowa's 2027 recruiting class. Four of those are from the state of Iowa: Brenneman, Jaxx DeJean (younger brother of former Hawkeye Cooper DeJean), along with linebackers Gavin Stecker and Braylon Bingham.

Brenneman is the second offensive lineman in Iowa’s 2027 class, joining Reilly Newman from Lakota West (OH).
