New Orleans Saints do-everything weapon Taysom Hill is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent when his contract voids on Wednesday. He'll turn 36 during preseason this summer, and whether he "retires or plays in 2026 remains unclear," according to ESPN's Katherine Terrell.

So there's no guarantee Hill plans to play a 10th season in the NFL. If he does, however, a reunion with Payton on a one-year, team-friendly contract could make sense for Denver.

Hill's production (and utilization) took a dip after Payton left New Orleans. Age undoubtedly played a factor in that, but the tight end/gadget quarterback's role in the offense also decreased. Hill totaled 4,064 all-purpose yards and scored 45 touchdowns in 118 games with the Saints, and Payton could undoubtedly find a role for him with the Broncos. Hill will be a name to monitor when free agency begins.
