On June 6, the Battle for the Brave comes to Rahway, and the event will raise money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which raises money for families of the military and first responders.

Pro wrestling great Steve Maclin served in the Marines. He is running this event with his wife Deonna Purrazzo, also a star professional wrestler, at the Rahway Rec Center. The event will benefit fallen first responders, military heroes and their families.

As a Marine and the wife of a Marine, the couple hosts the Boots to Boots podcast, which explores life’s transitions and identity shifts. It tackles issues from combat boots to wrestling boots, and every pair in between.

The show tells the stories of veterans, athletes and regular people as they tell stories that redefine who they are when one chapter ends and another begins.

They are now running the wrestling show to combine their passions for the sport they love and the cause that's so vital to them.

Born from the tragedy of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries out its mission to “do good” by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.

The Foundation also looks to eradicate veteran homelessness and help America to Never Forget September 11, 2001.

While the show is a few months away, the tickets are hot item and you can soon jump on the presale, which begins Feb. 19 at 9:30 a.m. EST. Tickets go on sale to everyone Feb. 20.
